2025 Cross-country Championships

The 2025 CSAA XC championships were held at Parliament Hill, London on Wednesday 15th October. Click here to see the results. The photo shows the the first 5 men (l-r) Tom James (3rd), Jim Gordon (1st), Sam Rodda (2nd), Richard Carter-Pearson (5th) and Conrad Meagher (4th).
The CSAA has sadly learnt that Life Vice President Roger Smith recently passed away. The following is by way of a short tribute:
"Roger was a member of the CSAA Committee from 1981 and served in numerous roles during that time. He had a great deal of knowledge regarding CSAA athletic activities. He was always encouraging, helpful and ever cheerful and will be missed by his many friends within the CSAA family. A moment of silence will be held before the CSAA Cross Country Championships followed a period of clapping."
. The Civil Service enter a team in this league which stages up to 10 races, on Wednesday afternoons (2.00 p.m. start), from October through to March and includes teams from the Police, Army, RAF, Prisons and Fire Services. All Civil Servants, whatever their standard are eligible and indeed welcome to run. Each race is open to Men and Women with courses usually around 6 miles. You can run in as many or as few races as you wish and the full details of the venues are available before each race. Hi Nick,
Thanks to the members of the Civil Service Athletic Association (CSAA) for sharing your collection of running resources. Our community centre is hosting a youth triathlon next month in collaboration with our local K-12 schools. You listed some great sites for runners to share with the participants! We really appreciate the help! I also wanted to pass along this guide my volunteer Stacey found: Triathlon Resource.
Not only are there some fantastic running resources for all ages, but there's swimming & cycling training guides too. Stacey was very excited to share it with you! She competed in her first 5K last month and thought other runners and athletes would enjoy it as much as we have!
Do you mind adding it to your Links page for us? (www.csaa.org.uk/links.html) Stacey is getting class credit at school for volunteering her time at our centre, so I'd love to show her teacher if you add it. The end of the year report cards come out shortly and she could really use some help. Please get back to me when you have a chance! Thank youuuu.
Sincerely,
Lisa Echevarria

"I am continuing to work on "A History of the CSAA 1864 - 2020" which will include, hopefully, all the winners of the various events. I have produced two files outlining the missing info. One is for results - missing results and one for winners or champions - missing winners. If you can help fill in the gaps please email me
